The battle of Seegrin had been a success. The red and black draperies had been ripped from the walls and hues of blue replaced them. But glory and celebration was not to last... From over a distant hill, Jake could see black and red banners whipping to and fro in the crisp Garheim wind. The Queen's soldiers had come. They crashed down upon Seegrin, killing every Garhim in sight. Jake and his men held on for as long as they could, but were forced to retreat further inland. And soon they came upon a large tavern called the Oxhorn. It was here they would make their last stand. "No more retreating," Sir Jake stated, "I don't know what happened at the royal palace, but my guess is they were defeated and now Queen Galainir plans to reap destruction on us all. But fight we will! For Garheim!" Soon, a large group of soldiers found the tavern, and the lead knight approached in earnest. "Hide no more cowards! Come out now in surrender, and only most of you will die!" He said this with a smirk. Yet no answer was returned. "Very well, cowards!" He turned to his officer and said, "Burn it!" Just as he said this, the door burst open, and Sir Jake, leading the Garhim, poured out! "Chaaaaaarrrge!!!" he bellowed. "Very well," said the Queen's knight, "Cut them down!" Then the battle to survive began... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My entry to the Garheim Local Challenge!
