Freebuilds count from the time you posted them (and they can't have been built beforehand, unless you change it a bit), but if you had one ready on, say, March 29, but could only post it on April 1, Matt and I would cut you some slack. I'm sure you know this, but after your two monthly freebuilds you can have what some people call 'funbuilds', which get you no point but just advance our character's storyline. If you need any help, or have any questions, feel free to ask them in the questions thread in our private forum! Ok, thanks! Then it worked as I expected. Do I have to do something to get access to the private forum btw?

The Battle of the Knife-Road PassThis is my entry to the Restricted category of the GCVII. Story: Erathor had been ready for the rebellion to begin, so when the Loreesi leaders received Prince Jarius' coded letter, he was able to march almost straight away. The army from Sarenhold pursued a large contingent of the Dragon army in the area towards the border, but sudden news caught them by surprise: the Dragons had wheeled around, and were heading south towards Erathor's relatively unprotected city. Fuelled by anger and fear, the Loreesi hastened to a pass in the hills of the Knife-Road, famous for the multitude of bandits that lined the way and preyed on unsuspecting travellers. When they reached the end of the pass the army halted, and Erathor called the captains together to devise a plan, one that would be sure to stop the deadly march of Galainir's troops once and for all.
The day of battle dawned, and it was clear from the start that it was going to be hot. Allaeus and Bryke, leading the infantry, lined the men up at the end of the pass, and there they waited. Erathor, however, took the cavalry a little way away, out of sight of Allaeus' troops, with the archers in support.
As the Queen's troops came out of the pass, they could hear the battle cries of the Loreesi foot soldiers as they engaged the enemy in battle. Archer, having been sent to report on the situation, said that a large band of Outlaws were holding Allaeus back, and that the Queen's own men were biding their time, waiting to strike the Loreesi as they weakened. Upon hearing this news, Erathor mounted his horse and drew Shard. The archers moved silently to the top of the stony cliffs. "These Dragons have no place in Lion country!" he called, rousing the knights. "Let us break Galainir's iron fist, as we ride to victory this day! FOR THE GLORY OF LOREOS!" As he said this, Captain Dag stood atop the rocks and raised the banner of Loreos. Spurring his horse on, Erathor led the cavalry into the pass, where the Dragons were already being pinned down by the Loreesi archers, unable to join their comrades in the fight against Allaeus' men. Terror filled their faces as they saw the oncoming Lions with their shining armour and vicious weapons. Not being able to flee, they stood their ground, and prepared for the hit of the horses.
The battle was over quickly, which did not surprise Erathor. When the cavalry had rode into the pass, Allaeus' men had fought harder, and soon the Outlaws were being pressed into a mass of whirling swords and golden lions rampant on Loreesi shields. The enemy were cut down where they stood, leaving Erathor with a joyous army ready to return to their liberated home.
For the Glory of Loreos!

Yello, Loreesi friends! Aidan has been gone for quite a while, no idea if I'll get the time to build more of his story, but I am really loving the plot and everything, and this new forum is phenomenal! Hope I get to see some more awesome stuff!

Firstly, welcome Adian, good to have you with us! Secondly here's my LC15 entry 2 LOR, near to Devils Pass, Loreos, Roawia. 2 LOR, near to Devils Pass, Loreos, Roawia. Hearing the general call to arms issued by the Stewart on behalf of the Prince, Darius Bátswán (Baron Hreaðemús) and his younger brother Cyrus Bátswán join forces with Darius Elasar (Cousin of Prince Jarius Lorean and son of Duke James Elasar) who was journeying to join with Lord Mark of Falworth to aid in the prevention of a large Queen’s Army entering Southern Loreos. The Baron, a noble and stout warrior at heart, had been a busy man gathering forces along the roads heading south from Lors Vegos, Nædercynne and the roads that head all the way to the Port of Salus. Each village his men pass results in more troops flocking towards the already massing army.

Taking back Salus - LC 15 Entry: Main shot: Story Caption Shot: Story:
Day 36 of the Rebellion Campaign: Journal of the Stewart of Loreos, Arturius Xavier.
Written by the secretary of the Stewart - Tulius Agrippa. "It had been a long and steady march up the old Green Highway. Though the men were in excellent spirits, the travel was slowed by our baggage train which was disguised as a vast convoy of spice and grain haulers through to the Eastern part of Loreos straight to the Port of Salus. Thankfully though our travel was unhindered by the Queen's forces and we soon found ourselves in the brave company of friends who had answered my call to arms per my mission... Ah...yes my mission, or rather the mission I had been called forth to do by the bidding of my son-in-law was clear from the moment I received that letter. The time had come to rescue him from the clutches of that vile, yet beautiful and rather attractive in an evil seductive...bah...why am I saying this...oh right, that dark and brooding yet ever so harmonious...sigh...Queen of my h...oh blast it. Tulius...Tulius!!! are you writing this down? What are you some sort of machination, don't put that drabble in there!!! Oh...yes, right back to the point... We had finally reached the Port of Salus on the 27th day of the Campaign. There my friends Darius Bátswán (Baron Hreaðemús) and his younger brother Cyrus Bátswán, along with Benjamin Toft, and the noble Lord Stout had arrived per the pre-arranged schedule. It was quickly revealed to us by Lord Stout though that the Port of Salus was overwhelmed with a substantial garrison of the Queen's army and that we would need to besiege the City before we could board the fleet that had sailed around to meet us. Quickly we devised a plan of action and soon found ourselves besieging the City Walls which fell on the 29th day of the Campaign to our artillery barrage. After storming in though, we soon found the Queen's men had set up additional smaller walls in the narrow alleys and we found ourselves now in a fight for the streets that was quickly becoming an uphill struggle. As the troops pressed forward we found that the Queen's forces had set up shock points in the City where local commanders were administering troops with commands to beat our troops back. At first the Queen's troops were winning and by the 31st day had nearly pushed us back out of the City. At this point Darius suggested the use of small ballistae's to shoot hook shots through the walls of nearby buildings near choke points so that we could make it around the Queen's embattlements. As we did so, we quickly found the tide changed and on the 35th day we had taken the last Command point in the City, a recently converted Church of Solaris that the City Commander was using as his Command Base. As we stormed the Command point and slayed the Commander, we found a letter from the Queen's parasite that vile Maldrake who informed the Commander to be watchful that there may still be rebellions in the land. 'What little good that did him' we all laughed. Following this, we held a meeting where we decided with the advantage of the Port now in our pocession that we would prepare to meet with the other armies of the rebellion to storm to the Queen's Castle, meanwhile Lord Stout would lead a fleet to attack East Stowburn and secure us a close and safe harbour in case trouble were to arise. If all went to plan, we would have the Prince back and my daughter could finally stop nagging me...TULIUS! Stop writing that in the official record!!!"
