I've been suffering from a lack of time. After all, fighting off two other factions while keeping Outlaws away from my coin-purse does keep one rather busy. Although RL has also been keeping me busy, too busy. I have build ideas that I want to create, even had time to write up storylines. But do I have time to actually build? noooo, oi. So much for keeping a less busy schedule this month. That, and i need to invest in landscaping pieces *goes back to pondering* lets see, if I cut of a dozen Garhims' beards, sell them to wig companies, that should provide the funds needed...

Ah, yes, sadly every one seems quiet. But we have different reasons, we outlaws are prefer preparing surprises and sneak attacks in the darkness and secrecy ... Or enjoying the wonderful weather on Fidraca

Yup you guys do know how to get to an outlaws heart!

(I did not see that coming) Um, fellow Lenfels, we seem to, ah, have a haven-like place for outlaws. I know we are allied with them and all, but there is part of me that is concerned about doing, well, the equivalent of opening a hotel for Outlaws...

If you ally yourselves with Outlaws, does that not also make you Outlaws? I mean, Lenfald already seceded from Roawia and declared sovereignty, so you were kind of Outlaws to begin with Not that Loreos is much better - Kinglsayers

You know people have many conceptions about what an Outlaw is

*furrows eyebrows* is this going to lead into a philosophical discussion about What is an Outlaw? Because if so, be warned: I will steal quotes from past posts- wait a minute *thinks over what I just said* aw dang it *slaps forehead*

Happy New Year to you all!
I had a number of setbacks in the second half of 2017 that meant my building time evaporated to nothing. However, these issues are mostly behind me now and I've made some changes to my build space which should make me more efficient from now on. I've already posted my first 2018 build to Flickr (yay!) and am working on a collaborative build for later in 2018.
I'm trying to figure out what competitions, collaborative building games and so on to commit to in 2018, and I wondered what the status was of LoR?
My understanding was the great houses mini challenge got a lukewarm number of entries (albeit some very high quality ones) and I know Ayrlego is knee-deep in Brethern of the Brick Seas over on Eurobricks. The last few challenges haven't had a huge number of entries and I wondered if the faction leaders have a handle on the number of active participants?
Sorry if all this sounds a bit negative, I'm still excited by the idea of LoR but I'm finding the lack of members somewhat disturbing.

I think most members have jumped ship, unfortunately, and those who haven't don't have much time to build - myself, included. I think we need a good GC to get things going again, and maybe even some faction switch-ups; it seems like most active players are still members of Lenfald and while it sounds mean to ask people to leave a faction they like being a member of, it might be necessary to keep the game going.

I still love the game, and the story that has been built over all this time. I know that RL has been far to much of a problem for me, but then again 2017 was far crazier than I ever would have anticipated, and I am happy with the number of builds that I have been able to pull off. I heard that Sir Caelen was busy with some RL stuff also. While I am also a bit concerned at low participation, I have had to remind myself that i haven't been too active (alas). But I still love this game, and hope 2018 gives me more time to participate in it!

This happens every year. We get spikes in the summer when people tend to have more time and we usually have a decent jump in participation around this time of year because of the CCC. But, we didn't capitalize and coordinate a GC with that in mind like usual. Also, it doesn't help much we haven't gotten any close to castle relate set from TLG.
Now is definitely a quiet time, but we are hoping to bring back some builders with the upcoming story lines.

Hmmm...it does seem that way. I think for me the fact that a few of the leadership team seem to have gone dark probably makes me think this might have run out of steam a bit. I'm as guilty as sin of contributing nothing in recent months, but I'm now in a position to change that and it seems all is quiet here at the moment. This happens every year. Can you give us any information on when the next GC might land?

I'm not active in participation either because of RL but a good GC would be a good motivator.
