Also, Loreas is not the only ones with a special group of highly trained soldiers. Right? The city of Orevale boasts not only the Knight Rangers, the Pikemen of Moore, and the Kraken's Whip, but legend tells of an ancient line of assassins known as the Greyshadow... some say they still exist *cough* Amura Greyshadow *cough* And Lenfald has the scout snipers and the Fantastic Flying Frog-Licking Fancypants Fellows. Besides the Areani, all I've seen from Loreos is "Sir" this and "Sir" that. It seems they'll knight anyone down there For the record, besides the Scout Snipers, Lenfald also has The Order of Aithellon under Andar, with their Rangers and Guardians. And FYI, long ago The Fantastic Flying Frog-Licking Fancypants Fellows (FFFLFF) were captured, forcibly disbanded, stripped of their Lenfel citizenship, tarred and feathered, and shipped off to Loreos, where they now serve Prince Jarious. As his minstrels.

Sir Caedric Moore I also see more lords in Loreos than anywhere else, which shows just how noble our blood is compared to everyone else's!

Yeah...those Fantastic Flying Frog-Licking Fancypants Fellows (FFFLFF) are a serious force to reckon with at an eating contest when they are higher than a kite after licking those magical frogs they have in Lenfald and crave the munchies. Although...as Gary pointed out they were laughed out of Lenfald and now provide comic relief to the rest of the realms. Just proves a point...that Lenfel's are Laughable. Also how come we have barely seen anything about these groups of specials in Garheim? They really need to be expanded upon. As for Loreos we have other elite groups besides the Areani. We have the Praetorian Guard who replaced the Areani for protecting the Royal Court directly (recent addition), the Knights of Calamon (They have a blue cape and loreesi lion sigil used in several builds), Loreesi Lancers (commanded by Sir Thomas Arrowford - elite cavalry), Morastian Marine's (Elite Shock Troops), and I believe there are others. Apparently we have a list somewhere. @brickmadness - I actually answered the elements here as Schmidt pointed out that we shouldn't be carrying the conversation of Chartre's abilities in that thread.

We Garhim are all elite warriors, and don't feel any need to have so many fancy-pants titles as our less self-confident southern neighbors, I guess. But hey, if you need a secret club to make yourselves feel fearsome, then go right ahead! Also, if we are going to have "special forces", can't we at least come up with semi-original names for them? en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Praetorian_Guard

Well the Garheim's thus far have listed a plethora of titles for various "Elite" groups...so I'm not sure that these northern "Elite Warriors" are that different than their southern compatriots. Well technically they do have a name. The Regimental Praetorian Guard of Loreos (RPGL), they are mostly assigned with the task to Protect the Royal House of Loreos and used to be an elite unit within the Military but have earned the distinction in the field to serve the Prince directly. This way it free's the Areani who are specialized warriors and spy's to do what they do best rather than be bogged down with a political position.

Or, Role Playing Game Losers! We Lenfels are also more inventive than you sand serpents, since we live in a land with lots of wood, therefore we can experiment with new designs and ideas without having to worry about lack of supplies. Oh, and we don't have to steal our wood, either. On another note, The Fantastic Flying Frog-Licking Fancypants Fellows was found out to be a group of Loressi sent to assassinate High Lord Triphian with terrible music, and deplorable entertainment. Unfortunately for them, it didn't work.

They obviously have a name. My point was that using "Praetorian Guard" is a bit like me making up an outlaw bunch and calling them "Ringwraiths". We should be able to come up with more inventive titles than just copying names from famous historical groups or well-established fictional content.

We should be able to come up with more inventive titles than just copying names from famous historical groups or well-established fictional content. Aye...however Loreos has plenty of uniquely named groups and special units and the word Praetorian actually has several meanings in latin. Although it was associated with the Imperial Guard, its original meaning comes from the title of Praetor which was granted to Magistrates and those who were given a position of command. In this case we are using that meaning as this unit is given command to Guard the Royal house of Loreos. As for the silly comments made by the Lenfel (Joshua) the RPGL could also stand for Really Proud Guys in Loreos or Rampaging Penguins Gangrolling Lenfel's. (Yes we accept Penguins, because they are awesome!) Whereas if he read Sir Caelan's (Gary's) comment he would know that Lenfald has already acknowledge ownership of the FFFLFF, but had them disbanded. If they attempted to kill High Lord Laughable, well it was probably a revenge of sorts for how they were mistreated by their former compatriots. Although...how could you trust anything a Lenfel says anyways (exception if Sir Caelan...that fellow is one stand up gent) ... as they are so STONEwald they don't even realize half of what they are saying is because of a craze for the munchies from licking all those toads and smoking up those enchanted weeds they sure love to grow in the forest. I once heard that Lenfel's were even caught grabbing and eating gnarly mushrooms or grinding them to make some sort of happy drug to be mixed with sweet grass and smoked in a pipe. No wonder they see Dragons and other monsters all the time...they are so "High in the sky" with their pet frogs they forget their manners.

Well I could have called them the "Templar of Tenebris Sole" (essentially Knights of the Dark Sun) although I might use that as their official name and the public name would be for ease "Regimental Praetorian Guard of Loreos".
