It still doesn't make any sense at all why the Prince would have wanted the previous King dead. If anything his realm didn't benefit from the war that essentially weakened all of us and allow Galainir to take the throne. Hence the point the only group that benefited and had the most reason to want the former King dead remained the Outlaws. After all...they suffered in the Southlands war, they suffered in the Magic Isles, they suffered under years of being persecuted by the Crown and after the King died they were quickly able to seize the advantage, form massive armies and then take over all our realms for a time period that left many of our realms damaged. To be honest...I think the plot is crystal clear and the blame for who framed Loreos and who killed the King is evident. Magic was used by Maldrake under the orders of Galainir to mask her assassins as Areani...because we all know the Areani wouldn't have been so sloppy to leave a trace. Further, the Areani...skilled as they are...do not just go about slaying Kings...if they did then the Jarl and High Lord would be dead and the other realms would now be called Middle Loreos LumberLand, and North Loreos Beer on ice Land. However, since this isn't the case...well it just proves the Prince and Loreos as being innocent victims of an Outlaw plot that well succeeded. On the same token, it shows since we liberated ourselves with such success that Loreos knew we were framed and suspected the Queen of being the one and true culprit. Therefore, all blame for that past tragedy should be laid on the real culprits and the Prince's name should never be tarnished again with the false accusations. Moves for dismal. LOL

mattiusxavier If the Areani did go round slaying kings and rulers, everything would be Loreos'! They'd do it properly, too, not go and leave very obvious clues behind for those people bound to investigate the situation to find.

Everyone in Loreos knows this and I was pretty sure our friends in Lenfald and even Garheim knew the Areani never do a sloppy job.

I agree with you, and I think that the Areani didn't do it, but because others may bring this up, where would the outlaws get Areani cloth? It's not something that you can just go to market and buy I would think.

Hey don't shove all the blame on us ! It's an anarchy over here so it can probably all be traced (by good badland detectives of course ) to one evil and powerful outlawed noble or (hint hint ) to someone who was in the badlands before us outlawed even were... well outlawed !

Only the Outlaws and monsters have lived in the badlands. As for the cloth...simple. Magic. If Maldrake can create and bring to life a powerful Golem, I'm pretty sure he could easily manifest with magic Areani cloth material...or of course he could have just visited the tailor that makes the cloth, threaten them, then steal a bat of the cloth for his elaborate plan to create chaos in the realms. There is always a simple explanation and to be honest its really easy to frame people if you are an Outlaw con artist.

or he is no longer with us. Which means we could blame some more Outlaws for that one.

Indeed...although is that the real Karain...or a shadow of a shadow. You make some good points. You have yet to reply to my comments on the leadership in the GC Freedom conversation thread. Also, Loreas is not the only ones with a special group of highly trained soldiers.

Also, Loreas is not the only ones with a special group of highly trained soldiers. Right? The city of Orevale boasts not only the Knight Rangers, the Pikemen of Moore, and the Kraken's Whip, but legend tells of an ancient line of assassins known as the Greyshadow... some say they still exist *cough* Amura Greyshadow *cough* And Lenfald has the scout snipers and the Fantastic Flying Frog-Licking Fancypants Fellows. Besides the Areani, all I've seen from Loreos is "Sir" this and "Sir" that. It seems they'll knight anyone down there
