Schmidt is up. If he disnt snag the 1x2x2 bricks I would have. I have a plan an so far it is working out ok, I did figure the horses would have gone faster though. Also rbc snaged the masonary brick I was intrested in.The barding was down on my list, it is cool but doesnt fit my theme for building anyways. Schmidt if you happen to have any 1x2 black bricks and plates let me know. Curt It certainly depends on what you are hoping to get out of the draft. Either to expand your existing collection or a more targeted selection, ie. getting parts for a particular build. This is a first time for me, so I am just feeling out how people think during these things. Still, everyone should get lots of goodies that I'm sure we will all be seeing in future builds! I agree. I was hoping to snag some of those dragon torsos, but I didn't! I am very please with my selections so far. Let's keep going!

Honestly Don, I was incredibly surprised that the bardings didn't go quicker, like you said. However, It seems like no one in the draft was that interested in them except me. I was so happy when the 1x2x2 made it as long as they did. I would have been a lot more interested in the horses had they been one total lot, but I already have over 100, so it's not going to hurt me to duck out of a few more I came into this draft wanting to get some horse bardings and also LBG bricks since I have begun castle building at a much bigger level. I almost picked the 1x2x2 in the first round, but I was afraid it would show my hand, and then everyone would get paranoid about LBG bricks and forget about the minifigure parts and draft the LBG bricks. So I held off until I thought it was safe enough

Yes and I will respond shortly. Please do not clutter this thread by asking about PM's

Ok sorry. Back on topic: Do you think your brother would want to trade some of his dragon knight torsos?

I just sent a response to your PM.
He is going to trade 6 of them to me for 1 horse barding and keeping the other 6, so unfortunately he has no extra ones to trade.

Or do you have a MoC in mind for your new found parts? Also, I notice you trade a significant amount,(compared to every one else) how does one initiate these talks with other members of the community?

Yeah, for having the 5th pick in the draft I am blown away at all the goodies I have come up with! It's really nice to be on one end of the snake because you get two quick picks in a row. So if things are going before you and you notice the trend, you can snatch up two hot items at once! I am stockpiling these LBG bricks to go toward my next castle. I have a plan in mind for what it will look like, we will just have to see how it turns out.
Sorry, but I am a little confused by your second question. Are you wanting to know how I am able to trade so much, or why I trade so much?

Schmidt - The next time that you update the picture could you update the colors in the legend? I think that some of the colors have changed.
To answer some of the questions before the draft I rank all of the pieces in the draft from 1 to the end and use that as my guide during the draft. Sometimes during the draft I will come up with an idea and adjust my draft strategy on the fly.

Are you wanting to know how I am able to trade so much, or why I trade so much? I was hoping to snag a few LBG bricks so I can expand a current build. Most of them are tied up in a build I can't break down until after I display it at a local show. In the second question I was asking how you initiate your trades with other people. I only ask because I need to curb my Lego spending and might start to trade some of my surplus for other parts.

Donald? What do you mean by trade your surplus for other parts? Do you mean from your current collecrion? Modt trades that occur in the draft are of draft parts only. If you have parts in your colection post a trade thread. In the BST forum. If you want to trade draft parts it is best to contact the person with the part or parts you want and open talks with them.
Sxhmidt is back up!

Schmidt, I think the draft photo is incorrectly marked. You marked out lot #26 on the photo for me, when I drafted lot #25! ~RBC

Hey RBC,
It could quite possible be marked incorrectly. The master list is the thing we use though. The photo really serves no purpose but to get people excited. Don't worry, if you picked #25, it's on the list, and the list is what we go by.
