My entries for the latest Global Challenge.
Champions of War Category / First Watch of the Valeguard
-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-First Watch of the Valeguard-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-
The sons of Garhim veteran Jeurgen Peake, Hollander and Jeurgenson make up the First Watch of the Valeguard, each commanding his own unit of soldiers.
Sir Hollander, the elder, is the captain of the Wulfguard: a unit comprised of the best soldiers and rangers the Valeguard has to offer, hand-picked from the ranks of the Rangers and the Vigilants. Charged with protecting the borders of Orevale Hold, Hollander has made his abode in Northwatch Tower, making frequent circuits around the perimeter of the land in its defense.
Sir Jeurgenson, the younger, is the captain of the Vigilants: the knights and warrior class of the Valeguard. Charged with protecting the city, Jeurgenson is stationed in the garrison of Castle Valeguard, patrolling the streets of the city with the men and women of his order to keep the peace.

Cream of the Crop Category / Wulfguard Trackers
-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-Wulfguard Trackers-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-
The realm of Orevale Hold is protected by its sovereign warriors: the Valeguard. Of these hardy northmen, a handful of elite soldiers and rangers are selected from among their ranks and inducted into the special forces unit Wulfguard. Lightly outfitted in wool-lined chainmail and tunics stark white as the winter's snow, the Wulfguard Trackers are the elite of the elite, moving quickly across the snowy crags and icy plains of Garheim in their protection of the land, sent to places even the mighty Dire Wolves the Wulfguard employs cannot easily tread. Known for their tenacity in tracking prey - be it man or beast - it is said that no man can evade the Wulfguard for long.

Wildcard Category / Sir Fancymus of Oasis
-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-Sir Fancymus of Oasis-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-
The market city of Oasis is a hidden gem in the vast desert of Loreos. Bordered on two sides by matching oases and surrounded in high brick walls, this lush landscape has provided ideal scenery and a bustling marketplace to the various nomads, merchants, and knights of the southern faction, none more widely known throughout the city than Sir Fancymus Whitegrin, the Golden Dragon of Oasis. One of the youngest Loreesi to become knighted by the Prince, Fancymus has won great renown in local jousting matches and more importantly - to him, at least - a reputation as quite the ladies-man. Though some have begun to find it in poor taste with the rise of the Dragon Knights of the Shade, the golden dragon that is his insignia has been passed down through his bloodline for generations and Fancymus isn't one to be easily swayed by the opinions of others. Now, setting out from Oasis with his nephew and faithful squire Escerious Whitegrin at his side bearing his banners, Fancymus is ready to face whatever challenges the rest of Roawia has to offer.

Castle Category / Orevale Hold, Southern Gate
-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-Orevale Hold, Southern Gate-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-
South of Jharton, nestled between two spurs of the Sister Peaks, lies an inlet connected to the sea known as Black Loch and upon its shores lies Orevale Hold. Spanning from one end of the Ore Valley to the other, the Ore Prairie is home to many Garhims and at its center lies the walled city of Orevale, protected by the Valeguard in the castle at its heart. Other than the small villages of Stone's Throw and Snowbridge - south and north of the walled city, conversely - the city is entirely surrounded by thick stone walls, adorned with many towers and fortifications made ever more prominent after the war with the Usurper Queen. Three gates allow entry to the city: the Southern Gate, facing due south with a road to Stone's Throw, provides entry to the district of the city where most of its denizens live, known as Rustboro; the Western Gate, known as the Dragon Gate, allows access between the Loch and the business hub of Orevale, Drake's Well; the Northern Gate, known as the Snowgate, leads to a rough switchback trail up the neighboring mountains to the village of Snowbridge.
Orevale Hold is protected by its sovereign warriors, the Valeguard, who walk the streets and walls of the city and guard the perimeter of the land from would-be invaders. Vigilants and Rangers patrol within the walls or atop them while members of the elite unit Wulfguard make frequent circuits around the walls and the perimeter of the Hold with their mighty Dire Wolves at their side. Led by the Commander, Sir Caedric Moore, the Valeguard and all of Orevale Hold is a bastion of defense for the realm of Garheim. Courage, Honor, and Loyalty! For Garheim!!!
