I need some opinions on these guys. First is the Minotaur. I changed the legs to the CMF Faun legs, added an Area Light loin cloth and some custom pieces from Brick Forge and Brick Warriors. I used a sharpie to give his head and face some individuality. Second is the Centaur. The Brick Forge lower body is the main focal point, but what do you think about the use of CMF hair piece with him. I usually envision Centaurs with beards, but they restrict the movement of his head. That's the same reason I decided against long hair. Opinions and comments are encouraged. Thanks for looking. I think they are both quite good. I do agree that a beard might be cool, and would help make it more "unique" and distinctive from the base faun CMF, but I understand the hesitancy due to movement limitations, especially for such a large figure. It's much easier to pose a dwarf facing the way you want than a whole horse, haha.

Thanks AK! I have 4 different colored male centaurs. Each one has a different torso that fits in with this one. I tried Brick Forge beards but they have a part that doesn't allow that head piece to work without modification.

It does come in reddish brown, but I only have it in dark blueish gray. I don't really like the look of it. Thanks for the suggestion, as I tried other Lego beards that might work, but I wasn't happy with any of them.

Yeah, I don't love that one either. Or the big handlebar mustache. The LoTR/Hobbit beards are some of my favorites, but they aren't cheap.

I do love the handlebar mustache and need to order a grey one, if they have it, for my character's shieldman.

Thanks guys. I'll be sticking to beardless or printed beards for the centaurs. I was more concerned with if I should use the head/hair piece. I think I like it and might be getting a few more to round out my faction. I wonder if I can paint the hair and/or horns different color. I'm not sure what I'm going to use for my female centaurs because that head/hair piece just doesn't seem right.

Well, I might suggest that you go with a standard female elf or Friends elf hair for your female centaurs (with ears painted yellow). I could easily see the horns as being a male-only trait, kind of like antlers on deer/elk/moose. Female goats/sheep often have horns, but usually much smaller ones.

I think they both look good as-is, and I agree with AK that elf ears on the females might make for a nice touch. But in any case, build on, and show us pics of the whole faction!

Thanks Ak. The Friends elf hair is exactly what I was thinking, but I don't own any yet. I'll probably try for the purple/white one first and see if Sharpie works on that.
Thanks SEdmison. I have to order more of the hair/head pieces and minotaur legs, but I'll have about 5 or 6 each as I'm trying to keep my factions at that size.
