My Restricted entry for our faction's Local Challenge! -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-Hartwood Mill-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- The Eldir Forest - also known as the Hartwood - was one of the few places in Garheim where trees were abundant and many citizens of Orevale had turned away from the sea to a life of forestry and wood-crafting. The Commander of the Valeguard, Sir Caedric Moore, and his wife Erin travel to a lumber mill in the town of Stone's Throw to purchase wood for Valeguard ships.-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- As always, comments and criticism are welcome and appreciated! Personally I felt the trees were a bit "blocky" but I liked the terraforming and river.

If you use 2x2 round plates and 2x2 round bricks as the basic trunk of your tree, you get a more rounded look, plus you can put an axle through them for added stability. You can still have 1-wide plates come off at various points to be branches, and you can mix in 1x1 round plates to look like knobs and knots in the wood. Personally I'd say maybe predominantly light gray, with dark gray knots (maybe even the occasional black). But you could experiment with dark gray base with some light gray and black, or white with light gray and some dark gray.
