"Come on down, little Reggie, and take off Daddy's uniform. He needs it for work," Mariah Makintosh cooed to her son Reginald. Her husband walked into the room, smiling at his little son on top of his bed's wooden canopy. Jakob Makintosh was an important captain in the Garheim Navy, son of a minor lord, a busy man, but he always had time for his son. The family was staying in the Royal Apartments of the Mikithdar Castle, as Jakob was due for a meeting with the Admiral of the Navy soon.

"Your mother's necklace looks lovely on you, my little princess," Lord Hendrix smiled, twirling his daughter around the castle's great hall, its walls lined with live pine trees and hung with garlands for the winter festival.
"Thank you, father," princess Marleia beamed, gazing out the blue stained glass window as they passed it, thick snowflakes falling steadily outside in the cold winter's night.
