WIP 1 by Mike Mercado, on Flickr WIP 2 by Mike Mercado, on Flickr WIP 3 by Mike Mercado, on Flickr WIP 4 by Mike Mercado, on Flickr So this is my attempts at a throne room. The goal is to make this the middle of a stone longhouse with rooms off each of the doors. This throne room is supposed to be the seat for the city of Jahrton's officials. I'm looking for ideas on how to make the interior more Garhimish (if that is even a word) Mike

I think it looks pretty good!
I would think that the "colder" you can make the room, the better. Right now, there's a lot of wood and warm colors. Maybe less wood and more blue?
But as a throne room, I think it looks good!

I agree. Adding more cool colers is definitely better. I think that naybe replacing some maroon pieces with blue/dark blue would make it more Garhimish. However, it is still a great throne room.

I think if you make the central rug twice the size and use dark blue/ blue and add stone tables along the sides it will make it appear colder. I think it's a very good start though.

I think if you added stone tables, you'd have to make the room a lot larger in order for it not to be too crowded. I think tiling the floor with bley instead of brown, and blue runner instead of dark red will do the trick (though I know bley tiles are harder to come by than brown ones).

For the floor should i use bley 2x2 or 1x4?
I think I'll change the rug to a blue pattern.
For the walls would they be better if they were indented or are they good the way they are? Also are the shields too high?

Shields look fine. Indented walls would add more depth, but if you dont want to, its fine. I personally would use blue 2x2s, but whichever you prefer or have more of is better. Oh, and a blue rug sounds fine.

It does feel very warm and cozy. Reminds me of Edoras from LotR.

The odd dark grey bricks on each wall are pointless...

Merc, I would use 2x2 blue tiles. They'll look more like stone pavers than 1x4's would.

Looks good so far. If you could do it without obstructing the view, adding a couple rafters to the ceiling would add some depth. Also, depending how tall you plan on building the room, a window above the dragon's skull would look great - especially blue and clear transparent studs to make a stained glass window. Excited to see how this turns out

I have to say, it looks great! The roof, walls, and floor look good, along with the colors. Initially, I wasn't sure about keeping the red dragon head, but it adds just the right amount of individuality to the throne room, and the splash of maroon therefore looks great. Keep up the awesome work!

Yeah, the cooler palette is much more in keeping with that Garhim vibe, and it makes the crimson dragon head pop more by contrast. Nice work.
