Western Isles, Colonisation Global Challenge
The race is on! All four factions now have a presence in the Western Isles and all the resources of Roawia are behind building up these colonies. Which faction will dominate the new world?
This is an ongoing global challenge designed to show the development of the main settlements belonging to each of the factions of Roawia. By submitting builds showing the development of your faction’s settlement, these settlements will grow in size. Future sub-challenges may arise as a result of the progress of factions in this challenge.
Settlements
Garheim: Andarheim, Grimfell
Lenfald: Port Emerald, New Lenfald
Lenfald: Abnerburgh, Fýrdraca
Loreos: Port Valiant, Ad Undas
Outlaws: Port Scurvy, Lawless Islands
The Western Isles - Lands of Roawia (Expansion 2) by Mitah Val Karem
- Personal Points will be rewarded as per the number of points the build add to the settlement. That is 1 point for a bignette, 2 points for a restricted and 4 points for a unrestricted.
- Faction Points will be rewarded to factions for advancing their settlements through the levels. Faction points will be rewarded for achieving each level as listed below:
Level One = 20 points
Level Two = 20 points
Level Three = 25 points
Level Four = 25 points
Level Five = 30 points
Please post any questions you have or any general comments or discussion in this thread. Enjoy!

Governance – These buildings show the development of administration and infrastructure in the new colony. Examples may include (but are not limited to): Governors palace, ports and harbours, road building, post offices, irrigation projects etc
Agriculture – These buildings show the development of agriculture and your colonies ability to feed itself. Examples may include (but are not limited to): Farms, plantations, silos etc
Size:
Builds of each of the types shown above will be worth a different amount of points for your settlement. As your settlement gains points, it can grow and advance in level. As the first coloniser of the new world, Lenfald’s Port Emerald begins with the advantage of all builds in New Lenfald to date. Scores will be updated regularly and can be found in the post below. Points will be awarded as follows:
Bignette: (maximum 16x16 footprint with limited overhang) = 1 point
Restricted: (17x17 minimum footprint to 32x32 maximum footprint with limited overhang) = 2 points
Unrestricted: (>32x32 foot print minimum to no limit) = 4 points
Rules
Every build in a settlement that fits into one of the above categories may be entered into this challenge.
Builds will score both challenge and personal points based on the size of the MOC. Your faction leadership is responsible for updating your personal points and it is recommended you post a link/preview of your build in your faction thread.
Once your settlement meets the required number of points for builds in each of the four categories, your settlement will advance in level.
Individual builders may only submit a maximum of TWO builds for this challenge per calendar month.
Builds for this challenge DO NOT count as free builds. Thus your total build limits for scoring purposes each month will be 2 Free builds, 2 Colonisation Challenge builds and 2 Guild builds.
Builds in this challenge may include entries for Local or Global Challenges, but personal points will only be awarded once. eg a LC build that fits one of the categories for this challenge may be entered to boost your settlement's score, but you will not receive personal points for it as you will have already received them for the LC - you can only earn personal points once for each build.
Builds in this challenge MAY NOT be used as guild entries.
Whilst you are welcome to include your character or secondary character, they are not required to be present in the build.
Your faction banner must be included either in Lego or digitally. Here is the Link to the official digital banners (courtesy of Mitah).
Each build may only count towards one of the below categories. For example a fort with a farm inside can only be Military or Agriculture - not both. As the builder you can decide which category your build fits in with the exception that if the KC feels your build does not really fit the chosen category, we reserve the right to change it.
