I love the Viking longboat style here. My only question would be this: If this is a longship for a burial, shouldn't it be buried deeper? As it is, the rock doesn't cover the ship. One way to suggest burial without obstructing the view of your subject might have been to build up the dirt behind the ship (maybe with dark tan, so as not to muddy the view of the browns in the ship) and then have a hard cutaway along the long axis of the ship to provide a view of it. There are definitely some great building techniques here, both in the ship and in the rocks. It was immediately clear to me what type of ship this was and what type of culture was burying it.

Thank you SE! Good point, the reasons I didn't were (besides the one you mentioned) lack of time to do a more interesting base around it (another one day build ), and that the picture I was copying didn't have anyway to bury the ship either so I didn't think to much about it, thanks !

Well, that was a nitpick anyway, and it doesn't detract from my enjoyment or appreciation of the building technique and the way you've captured the style of the longboat.
