So I have a cunundrum here an can use your help. I am in need of parts for my builds and am going to be placeing a couple bricklink orders. So after stareing at brick link and going thru a store I have gone cross eyed. I hate that at the end of every page you have to update your cart or it wont load eveything from a section. I think I need to set my settings to auto fill is this corrext, is it possiable to have you cart auto fill? The store in question has about 90% of what I am looking for in the quantities I am looking for. He isnt the cheapest seller on bricklink, and is also Local, so I can save on shipping by picking up my order and spend that on more parts. I like supporting locals when I can But would you go thru or look for a cheaper seller with hopes of the store having more of what you looking for, and having the shipping come out in the wash? Or support local and place a second order with the rest of what you need? Just asking as I am taking a break from stareing at parts

There is a tool with Wanted Lists that will allow you to search for stores based on particular parts you are looking for. In my experience, one store almost never has everything I am shopping for (assuming several different pieces). Unless your local guy is significantly more than paying someone else to ship it, I'd probably use him. Regarding autofill... I have no idea.

It depends on how much you are buying. 5 cents vs 7 cents is not a big deal for 10 parts, but if you're buying a few hundred of something, it adds up fast.
I never use auto-fill, so not sure how it works. Back button on browser is your friend if you forget to add to cart.

Ugh I hate this, whenever looking for parts I either have to buy from like (exaggerated) 20 different BL stores which adds up in shipping costs fast or overpay like twice or trice the amount... the bloody math and search time that goes into this hobby is nuts

I've never been aware of an autofill option, unless it's something they've added in their update.
As I tend to mostly buy unique parts and minifig bits, rather than bulk buying bricks, I tend to weigh up the store that has everything I want, compared to the store that has things cheaper. Ultimately it's usually going to be cheaper to get everything from one store than making orders from two or three stores. What you think you're saving on the parts, you're probably going to lose on postage/shipping.
However as AK said, if you're bulk ordering parts, then that extra 2cents per piece will soon add up.
Someone on brickset had made some sort of program that did all the hard work for you (working out where to get everything cheapest), but I think you had to have a working level of computer programming, so if that's something you have it may be worth searching out.
Personally I have a few 'wanted' lists, and just search by store to see what store has the moajority of what I'm after.

I would definitely go with the local guy and place a second order!
To my knowledge, autofill works with your wanted list to automatically put the items on that list (in the corresponding colors and quantities) into your cart for a given store. So, no, unfortunately you still have to click "update cart" on every page unless you just want to use a wanted list.
