OK, so as soon as CCG is ready, he can start a new thread. You guys can discuss particulars here, as far as how many figs you want to start with, how many figs you can swap out at a time, if you want to include anything other than minifigs, etc. Personally, I thought the way we did the last one was pretty good. Having a fig limit per person ensured that they couldn't snag all of the best figures in one fell swoop, and allowed the next guy to pick from figs built by several people. crazycrownieguy, feel free to copy whatever info you want from my Fig Jam post.

Hey guys Sorry I am a bit late in responding, been pretty busy all day. So I think we should just go the same way we did last time, it worked well, and everyone seemed happy. Any changes anyone would like to suggest? CCG

I think a bag of heads and hands would be nice. Everyone seems to have either yellows or fleshies they won't use. It might help a few of us to swap them out. Other than that, the last one looked fun if a bit small.

Last one went fine, However I would ask that everyone please use only castle related figures. There have been instances in the past where this is stated but somehow we still end up with emit bodies and alien bounty hunter figures. I am not saying that some star wars stuff, or city heads, etc.. arnt useful but a full on ultra agent figure etc. , is just not what this swap is about. that is all Also str0ngbad, Yes the last one was small but that's the point. Only doing figures so that people without the huge collection of spare parts could participate Unlike in a regular jam when a large box is circulated.

I do like the idea of in addition to accessories maybe doing a small lot of yellow and fleshie hands and heads

I should have been clearer, I thought the number of figures involved was a little small. Still, if this one is exactly the size of the last one, I am sure it will be a blast.
I would like to add something in a similar vein to what Curt just addressed though. Once or twice during the last Jambalaya, a really cool, thought out custom fig would disappear and be replaced with a half baked one. Please put some thought and effort into it if you choose to swap the custom figs.

Alright so including me we have 3 yes votes for the bag of heads and hands. Anyone else want to weigh in?

Sounds good. I've got a ton of spare heads and always looking to keep things varied.
I'd say copy and paste Ak's rules from the previous Jam regarding the figures. But maybe confirm what we're doing regarding the bag of accessories? (And what counts as an accessory?) It seemed that we basically ended up with a bag of spears, as people needed to put in more that they took out, so it seems generally added spears to bulk it up as I imagine that's what a lot of us have an abundance of.
I like lego animals, so do they count as accessories? What about vegetation? Or is it only things that can be held/attached to a minifig?
And should legodude and I be before/after one another as I think we're the only Europeans so far?

So here's my take on it : accessories should be simple - what a minifig can wear or carry. Animals and vegetations are more fit for regular parts jambalaya.
Also good point - folks should be better on doing a like for like swaps. 5 spears are not equal to a fancy sword or armor...

Oh yeah the two EU guys should be after each other.... Maybe do a lottery pick within lottery where they are treated as one entity for main order but then there is another lottery as to which one is first and which one is second?

Go ahead and foruth me for the heads and hands Also as to the comment from strongbad, while I agree that some figures may have a half hearted feel to a person. Please keep in mind that not everyone has the same parts stash to pull from, also some of us will put something togeather and think that it is a great combo, where as another might find it to be a junior atempt at a custom figure. So my personal oppinion is have fun and try to put something of like value in its place Also as to the 2 euro guys I say let who ever went second in the last jam go first this time, so on that hand if I remember let andhe go first and send to legodude, if he is willing to post shipping back to the US. Also if you want to put me closer to andhe I am willing to ship overseas this time

I think Strongbad's point is that if you don't have the ability to build a totally ace fig, then don't take a totally ace fig. Yes, there is variation on what each person thinks is "cool", but try to replace quality with quality.
Also, I think small animals (chickens, cats, dogs, rats, frogs, GOATS!) could be included as gives/takes in the accessories bag. If you took a husky though, you better not replace it with a spear! Again, quality with quality.
Why not just have a rule that the accessories bag can't have any "standard" spears or swords in it (LOTR-style weapons would be OK).

Totally agree with Jordan. An awesome customized fig should not be replaced with something subpar.
If you don't have the parts to make a comparable fig then don't take it. That's why there are multiple options.
Additionally, if you are getting rid of something for the simple reason you find it unusable, then chances are, most of us will feel the same way about it.
Don't put in anything that you wouldn't want.
I think if we follow those ideas, it will go great.

Really, even with the above "quibbles", the last one went really well, I thought. I'm sure you guys will have a lot of fun. I might sign up later, but am just a little too busy right now to add another thing to my plate.
