As you frantically build for the current Global Challenge, the GC VII, found here, let me encourage you to take a break for a moment. It’s time for us to examine the voting statistics from our last Global Challenge, the GC VI. You can find the GC V statistics here.
First off, a big hat’s off to AK_Brickster. AK sent me the spreadsheet of votes from the GC VI, and all the necessary tools to get these tallied.
So, after crunching some numbers, working on the spreadsheet, and thinking about how awesome Queen Galainir is, I would like to humbly present you some statistics regarding voting on our last GC.
In the GCVI, 58 different individuals cast three votes each for a grand total of 174 votes. 58 different voters is a higher amount than the past two previous Global Challenges, IV, and V, which had 55 and 47 voters respectively. Congratulations on achieving a higher total than the past two. Involvement in the formerly known as LCC has increased.
Out of these 174 votes…
-Loreos voters had the highest turnout of any faction, encompassing 31% of all voters with 54 votes from 18 members.
-Lenfald voters accounted for 26% of all voters with 45 votes from 15 members.
-Garheim voters were credited for 24% of the voters with 42 from 14 members.
-Outlaw voters accounted for 17% of all voters with 30 votes from 10 members.
-Individuals outside of the LCC roleplaying game made up 2% of all voters.
Additionally…
39% of all votes were cast for Garheim
36% of all votes were cast for Lenfald
14% of all votes were cast for Loreos
11% of all votes were cast for Outlaws
Fun facts to consider:
Garheim – Far too loyal
-Garheim, unsurprisingly, has some serious issues with the hot sun. Out of the 42 total votes across three entries, Garheim sent only 1 vote for Loreos, meaning Garheim voted for Loreos a little over 2% of the time. The bearded folk aren’t going to be vacationing at your beaches anytime soon.
-Garheim’s staunch loyalty to their Jarl must explain why they didn't want to vote for the Outlaws of Queen Galainir, as they only voted for Outlaws 7% of the time.
-Garheim sure does love it some Garheim though, as 52% of all their votes sent, were sent for their own faction!
-As a matter of fact, over 35% of votes for General JJ’s winning entry into the unrestricted category came from Garheim!
Lenfald – Holds way too many grudges
-Lenfald has a problem with grudges. They must hold grudges against Galainir for capturing Triphian, as only 4% of all their votes sent went to the Outlaws.
-They are still not over Loreos nor the War of Roawian Succession and “the Battle of Ainesford,” either, as only 7% of all their votes went to Loreos.
-They must still have a grudge against me for leaving their faction and heading to the Outlaws, for I didn’t receive a single vote from Lenfald for my restricted entry!!
-Despite its grudges, Lenfald sure does love it some Lenfald. As a matter of fact, Lenfald voters voted for their own entries a whopping 56% of the time!
Loreos – Total Conspiracy
-Loreos entrants should be thankful for their own faction, as over 61% of all Loreos votes across the three categories came from within their own faction!
-It would make sense to have such a high turnout of voters for their own faction, since they almost doubled their faction participation in this vote when compared to the last.
-Perhaps it is his former dealings with "Yursuff the Used Camel Dealer," as Wolfgang the Outlaw must have a place in the hearts of the Loreesi, receiving over half of his votes in both of his finalist entries from Loreos.
-Loreos is the only faction to have all three entries built by their Faction Overseer and Liason. Luck or conspiracy? Perhaps the latter, as the two were elected right before voting for GCVI commenced.
Outlaws - Down Right Depressing
-The only people the Outlaws dislike as much as the Loreesi are themselves, as the faction voted for Loreos and themselves a paltry 17% each. This would give credibility to their faction saying, “all for one, one for all, every man for himself!”
-The Outlaws are the only faction to decrease in voter turnout. Yeah, as Outlaw FO this is getting pretty depressing, let’s just stop here
So, which faction is honest in their voting and which one isn’t (when compared with voter trends across all three categories from all 4 factions)?
-Despite voting for their own faction 53% of the time, they did so with the trend, as Garheim received a total of 39% of all votes, a difference of 34%, making them the most honest faction for the second straight Global challenge. This is a +10% increase from last time though, making Garheim less honest than the last GC but still more honest than anyone else.
-Even though Loreos voted for themselves only 20% of the time, very few others did, as Loreos only received 14% of the total vote with 61% coming from their own faction. This total ends up being a +42% difference, a +17% increase from their last GC!
-The Outlaws voted for themselves less than any other faction, only voting for themselves 17% of the time. Unfortunately, relatively no one else voted for them either, as around 1/10 of all votes cast were for the Outlaws at an incredibly low 11%. This is a +53% difference! They tied Loreos with a 17% increase from the last GC.
-Is anyone surprised that once again Lenfald is the most dishonest faction? For the second straight GC, Lenfald became the most “dishonest” faction, by voting for themselves 56% of time while only receiving 36% of the vote. This is a 56% difference! This is, ironically, a -1% difference between the last GC. When Triphian is not around, Lenfald is not as corrupt.
Other fun facts:
-Every faction finalist entry received at least 3 votes.
-All three winning entries received over 30 votes
-No entry received over 20 votes except the winning entries; simply put, all three winners won their category easily.
-All 9 entries received at least one vote from someone within their faction.
-Apart from MattiusX and Sir Erathor Pridenar (FO and FL of Loreos respectively), at the time of the GCVI, no other faction elected its FO or FL’s entry in any category to be a faction finalist.
-100% of non-LCC member votes went to Lenfald.
-Faction loyalty is at an all-time high, as all factions increased in their “dishonesty” with the exception of Lenfald, who had already set the bar so high they couldn’t even reach it. Which leads us to our last fun fact…
-And finally, all you ever hear from the Faction Overseer’s is to “vote for the best entry, not for your own faction.” Faction Liason’s take this seriously, as all Faction Liason’s voted for their own faction only 25% of the time when they were able to. However, perhaps Faction Overseer’s should practice what they preach, as when a Faction Overseer was able to vote for their own faction, they did so an astounding 100% of the time! Yikes. Maybe this is why factions love voting for themselves? Attitude does in fact, reflect leadership.
Thanks for sticking around for all the statistics, I hope you enjoyed them!
Is your mind blown by all the numbers, mine sure is!
