Hey all, just thought I'd share this over here on the Beard.
USIN Fleet register: entry#3
After almost fifty years of service and three upgrades, the three Avenger class star dreadnoughts were put into orbital dry-dock, and completely rebuilt. Their main armament was increased to the new twenty-inch plasma guns. Multiple smaller armaments were added, the redundant overhanging stern was removed, the upgraded engines replacing it. A secondary bridge on the bottom of the hull was added, and two of the main turrets were transferred below as well. The main bridge was also completely rebuilt.
At the same time the three originals were being thus rebuilt, Congress authorized the construction of two more Avenger class, the Vengeance, and the Vindicator.
Thus transformed, and with two new in the class, the Avengers once again became the mainstay of the United States Interstellar Navy.
Captained by Commander Haymar Glen, the USS Avenger, as the first in the venerable class, and one of the first true interstellar warships, continues to have a special place in the hearts of the American public to this day.
End of Entry 3

Well, here it is at last, the fourth iteration of the USS Avenger. Versions one and two are viewable on my Flickrstream, but I never took pictures of three.
The Avenger remains my favorite model I've ever built, especially now that I've rebuilt it.
The Avenger stars in a series of sic-fi novels I'm attempting to write, as do most of my other sci-fi MOCs.
Hope you all like it!
Disclaimer: I did not make the backdrops. They were found online.
