I have been away from my collection for over a week, but starting tommorrow and the days after I will get back to it. I have 7 modules completed as it is, and am working on the rest right now. When I get back home, I should have two shipments of dark tan plates waiting on me. Hope to have these done by Saturday at the latest!

So I've finally got a pretty rough schedule nailed out for me. Unfortunately, I won't be able to arrive until early Thursday morning. That's not a problem is it? I hate that I miss the opening ceremony, but it can't be helped. What all is in the opening ceremony anyway? I plan on checking into my hotel, and getting there by noon, because I want to see the "how to start a lug" presentation. As a matter of fact, there are things I want to do in the Fair from 12-2 and 4-8 on Thursday. And of course, I have to attend the landscaping technique on Friday at noon. But let it be known, I can't be held responsible when the Outlaws start beating Lenfald in environmental builds! Questions: -Where do I pick up the goodie bag with badge and all that? -What kind of things do people bring to the yard sale? Is pretty much any LEGO merchandise acceptable? I have a bunch of stuff -I would like to unload while I am there (unopened sets, minifigs, bricks, etc.). I've read about the yard sale but is there anything I need to keep in mind?

Well guys it looks like I'm not going to be able to send the goodie bags! However If everyone could send me (via PM) their BrickLink usernames I will issue you all free coupons to use in my store!

Zach Bean: thanks! Schmidt: The opening ceremony is basically just where Todd welcomes everyone to BF, and then hands out door prizes at the end of the ceremony. Ha, we Lenfels will always be the best landscapers! ( unless the Loressi keep stealing our trees) The Registration desk is where you sign in, and they'll hand you the goodie bag. The yard sale is basically anything Lego that you've got that you want to sell.
RBCustoms: Okay, please elaborate. Were you not able to complete them all, or do not have all the items necessary? Is it possible to send me what you've got completed, so we have something? The coupon won't do me any good, as I don't have a Bricklink account at all. I'd really like the bags, if at all possible. (I will understand if you can't).

Hey all, I thought it might be good to check in with a quick update since we are like 5 days away from set up.
I finally have all my modules built, c8, d6-8, e6-8, f6-8.
I went ahead and built b1, since no one ever claimed it, and I will build c1 as well, unless someone objects and would rather take it.
This should account for all the modules. Can everyone check and make sure? Are we missing anything? Any last minute details we need to iron out? Should we all bring black technic pins? Finally, when will everyone be there to start setting up?
As I said, I wont be there until Thursday morning, and will have a pretty full schedule for most of the day. It should, however, only take me a couple of hours to get mine together with the minifigs, so I hope to have my stuff all in place by Thursday evening.
Looking forward to meeting you all, and showing off this awesome collab!
EDIT: Also, if one of the civil war collab-ers could show me a "close-up" shot of a basic standard, that would be greatly appreciated! I plan to build for the civil war collab tommorrow.

Schmidt , check out the photo here and use the module with the grass on the right as your baseline: Widow Tap's FarmWe will have to do some rebuilding when we get there, as it's doubtful John's module will match yours or Patrick's yours, but since we are not talking huge height differences and I will bring a ton of a variety of green and dark green plates and wedge plates, we can work it once there. I'll let Joshua answer on the LoR Collab questions. Lookinf forward to seeing everyone there in a few days! Gary

Sorry to keep pestering, but does anyone else have any updates?
I built b1 and c1 both this afternoon. If I understand correctly, all the modules are now built.

ALL: Sorry about the silence, our entire family, three of which are in this collab, are building frantically this weekend! I am finishing Battle of Rorke's Drift and my Battle of The Wilderness modules, and Joshua and Daniel are working on the castle. It's gigantic! Hope to reply tomorrow....

RBCustoms: Thanks! I replied via FM. Schmidt: That's great! There are two other modules that have not been built, b4 & b5. We simply don't have the parts for it, so I'll need someone else to build them. We are almost done with the castle, just have two and a half modules left and then it's complete. Then we'll have to find boxes for all the modules. We probably won't be able to post one last WIP shot, so you'll just have to see the castle once it's assembled. Oh, I almost forgot to mention, b7 has a small wall piece imbedded in the rock, with a door. This acts as Maldrake's back door, and that's were I had envisioned your counter-attack surging out of. I'll let you decide how to set the counter-attack up though. Just wanted to inform you of that so you can plan for it. BrickFair Virginia 2014 is the day after tomorrow, see everyone there!

Awesome Josh! I went ahead and built b4 and b5 a few moments ago. There is a problem though (this is mostly for Gary). Those two modules literally took up my last two baseplates, so now I have no way to build a module for the civil war collab! I am really sorry about that, I didn't anticipate building 14 modules for our collab, not including my other castle and 4 other vigs. I had a 48x48 I was working on too, but I don't think I will get it done. I can still bring my civil war troops if they are needed, but we will have to switch out the hands and heads with someone else, as I'm out of yellows. Just let me know!

Just let me know! How many troops do you have? We have about twenty spare heads to lend, but we'll have to turn to John Rudy for the hands. He should have them, but we need to know the number. Gary

Let me check tonight how many I can bring and I will let you know
EDIT*** Does it matter if they are just the two eyes and smile head? If so, I can probably swap out most of them.

That was totally awesome. Thanks to all you guys, and let's plan for something next year at some point. My only regret is not winning best Castle. But hey, nomination is good too! (But was there really any doubt?)
