Whoa Evan, how did you create a post with multiple quotes, from two different posts? A lot of us are still trying to figure how to do that out!!!

Zach, there will definitely be more than one layer of plates on some of the modules, that way the terrain varies in places, and doesn't look uniform. If you can do a 10 module block, that's great. As for landscaping, I actually planned out the surrounding terrain in a pretty terrible sketch, that I'll try to upload tomorrow. It also has what I thought would be a pretty cool design for the castle (and yes, it's octagon in shape). Don't expect anything great, though. My drawing skills are as bad as Schmidt's. Hopefully 10 modules won't be that difficult to assemble and bring. Hopefully. I think we should get some landscaping standards down, or maybe some example modules posted so I (And maybe others) can figure out if it's actually doable. When you post the sketches I'll take a look. Looks like I'll be the smallest guy there. Curse you genes. While we're talking about cool places to go around DC, I suggest the Air and Space Museum. Definitely an interesting experience. Also, just walking around DC can be fun too.

Both the National Air & Space Museum in downtown DC (top most visited museum by numbers in the entire world, no joke) and the Udvar Hazy Air & Space Museum only 15 minutes away from Brickfair, are awesome, especially for an aviation nut like me. Both are Smithsonian museums. WAMALUG gets to display LEGO MOCs at them several times per year.

I'll be there, I'd love to contribute minifigs! I'm with the Outlaws, BTW. I probably won't be able to contribute any build sections as I'm already with the JJ brothers on another collab. But I'll contribute as many minifigs as I can!
Oh, and I'm in Fairfax, 20 min. from the Dulles Expo Center, so I've been around DC a bunch. I'm with Gary, the Air and Space and the Udvar Hazy center are both excellent choices.

Hey guys. I just wanted to update you on my current situation. It's looking more and more like I won't be able to attend the whole fair. I had a job lined up to get some extra cash but it fell through. I'll see what I can do, but it's probably best you plan on me not coming now. I will certainly be active in this thread and help coordinate as best I can though. If I have a status change I'll be sure to update it here! I'll definitely still be there at least one day so I'll come around and greet everyone.

Thanks for letting us know Zach. Glad you are still able to stop by.
I've had a lot going on lately and have been very inactive, but in the next two weeks, I hope to get all my armies out, photographed, and show you guys what we are looking at.

Gavin of Lockwood: Great! Any minifigs you have, feel free to contribute. And of course, Gavin himself! Zach Bean: I'm really sorry to hear that. I'll leave you on the list, for now, in case something enables you to participate. Don't feel bad if if you can't though, we'll understand.Schmidt: Excellent! With GC7 going on, I haven't had any time to think about our collab, but as soon as it's over, I'll get to work on it. ALL, I PMed Ak a bit ago, asking how our display would effect the global storyline, and he replied that we get to decide how largely it impacts the global storyline. We need to discuss it, so I can PM Ak our decision.

Okay, so minor update, life's been fairly busy, so I've been a bit inactive this past month. That said, I have still been acquiring the necessary updates and better weapons, materials to have my forces, and 32x32s prepared for BFV. I should have an update prepared to show where I'm at forces wise sometime within the next few weeks or so. Right now, I'm just trying to get out a build for GC VII. ALL, I PMed Ak a bit ago, asking how our display would effect the global storyline, and he replied that we get to decide how largely it impacts the global storyline. We need to discuss it, so I can PM Ak our decision. I have ideas on how this could play out, but before I post them- should we try and have this discussion in a more private area, or is it okay to plan out storyline events where all can read? I think that our build would have more impact if we kept the repercussions of the assault a secret (not counting of course the KC, and the participants) until the display is made public.

Hey guys, sorry I haven't posted here in a while, was busy first with GC7, and then with Scouting for Bricks. Lord Mercat: I agree, we should be discussing this in a more secure location, but I don't know how to create a password protected thread here, so I'll have to PM Ak and ask if we're allowed to, and if so, how. ALL: The two of us will be starting work on the castle soon, right now we're still planning it out. Everyone needs to post photos here periodically, so I can tally up completed modules, WIP modules, siege engines, etc. BFVA is less than three months out, so we need get on it! PM me if any of you have questions about the display. Cheers, Joshua

Hey guys,
When are you guys leaving for BFVA, as I want to have time to make up "goodie bags" for you all, as well as get some "freebie" cape giveaways prepared to send to SSchmidt for distribution to the attendees. Let me know soon, so that I know how to plan.
Thanks,
~RBC

Rather than send them to Schmidt, send the capes, and the goodie bags, to me, as I just ordered a bunch of engraved bricks from the BrickEngraver, so I can then put everything together in the bags.
Cheers, Joshua

I'm assuming there are custom badges/bricks for participants?

I'm assuming there are custom badges/bricks for participants? Yes they are! A custom one-by-eight brick with LoR-and the individual faction of each person in the faction's colors for each of us, plus two each of Garheim and Loreos, in case anyone from those factions shows up. AK told me you and Schmidt should do the tying-in for the collab with the global storyline, as you're both on the KC, and you're part of the collab, so it would be easier for you two to do it. Also, if you didn't see my earlier post, I'd like WIP photos to be posted every so often, so I can tally up what's been completed, and what hasn't. Cheers, Joshua
