Schmidt, don't be such a fence-sitter! We have 9 drafters so might need a tie-breaking vote!

So that is 5 first-place votes for Elves Treetop Hideaway, giving it the majority. With that determined, is there anyone who doesn't want to draft this set and wishes to drop out at this time? If not, then we can move on to discussing how the lots will be split up. Here is the inventory list: www.bricklink.com/catalogItemInv.asp?S=41075-1My initial thoughts were the following: - Divide up the large purple leaves into two lots (one of 32 and one of 31, assuming 9 drafters)
- Draft the mini-doll hair separately from the body assemblies (the 9 torsos/heads/legs of each fig is one lot, the 9 hair pieces from that fig is a separate lot)
- Combine buckets and handles (including extra handles) as one lot
Additionally, lilcurt suggested splitting the small lavender leaves into two lots (23 and 22, assuming 9 drafters). I'm against this as I don't see 45 small lavender leaves being that much of a discrepancy compared to 32 large dark purple leaves or 36 of the new 6-pronged plant stems. There are plenty of top-tier lots in this draft without having to split up the small lavender leaves into two piles (add to the above: sand green handrails, sand green 1x2 tiles, green 16x16 plates, green 8x16 plates, azure 8x16 plates, red apples, dark red gothic arches, etc).
I've done over a dozen drafts and I've come to the opinion that it's OK to get a large pile of something. Overly-dividing up lots reduces what a draft is all about, which is getting oodles of the same piece.
That said, I will leave that one up to the voters.

I agree Actually this might be a good idea. I vote split them.

I must admit the part list makes me hungry to get this draft going.

I would not split the small lavender leaves. The proposed suggestions work for me. I would also combine the two locking hinge parts as well as the window frame and pane.

Hey guys Just an FYI. I can not start the draft till I receive the sets. Also I plan on starting at earlyist mid may with the latest possiable date being june first ( depending on sets received that is). From there it really depends on how quickly we go through the draft. Once finished all parts will be mailed out with my goal of 2 weeks after the draft/ trades have been finalized. As we sit, I was going to split the DK purple leaves into 2 lots as disscused. I was thinking about spliting the lavender leaves so there could in theroy be another tradeing oppertunity. As In past drafts I will combine the hinge/ pivioting type bricks. However the window frames and window panes have always been split, though I will leave that decision to consenious. As to the dolls I am okay with combineing torsos, legs and heads. Hair will be in a different lot as it is minifig compatiable. But I would rather just give us each the 3 dolls as combined in the sets to begine with. This leaves it so someone is not stuck getting all the dolls. I understand what jordan is saying about makeing them whole then posting each individual doll as a lot. But that makes for 27 lots of dolls that will go to the end and ivevitably we will all get stuck drafting dolls. Just want to see what consenious is there.bI will put some other things togeather as soon as I can sit down monday

I think window panes and window frames should be separate.
Also I meant that there would be a pile of 9 "doll #1" as one lot, not make each fig a lot.
As for getting you the sets, is it more practical for everyone to send you funds and you just buy them all yourself? That will save time and shipping cost.

I don't mind two lots for the leaves and agree to not split the small leaves. I also agree somethings need to be together like any hinge pieces. Window panes and frames though could be separate as some of us have plenty of frames, but little panes and sometimes the opposite.

I agree hinges together, windows and windows panes separate lots. Also from what I understand to reiterate hair from each fig is a separate lot, but remainder of each fig is a lot (legs, torso, head) and group by figs so there would be 3 separate fig lots and 3 separate hair lots.

Okay jordan that makes more sence and is fine by me as to the sets. Yes If funds are sent I can certinly pick them up to save on shipping but I would be looking at tax to be included. The other option might be to pick up at amazon or something. I will look at what the best option might be and get back to everyone sometime monday
